The medication can be administered by placing the pill straight to the mouth of the dog. Dogs accustomed to teeth brushing would not make a fuss if the mouth is opened. You need to gently open the dog’s mouth to insert the pill at the base of the dog’s tongue. To protect your hand from being bitten by the dog, you have to make sure that the teeth are covered by the flews. Gently blow on the nose and rub the throat to encourage the dog to swallow the pill.
